Transportation Conditions

Several deep-water berths are planned and under construction. Currently in use, the Ambunu Port has a 20,000-ton general cargo berth, a 50,000-ton berth, barge and floating berths, with an annual cargo handling capacity of about 30 million tons. The excellent port conditions facilitate raw material imports and product exports. The park is 15 km from the airport and 30 km from Morowali town, offering convenient transportation.

Geology

The park is bounded by the sea to the east and mountains to the west. The terrain is flat with solid geological conditions. The overall undulation of the land is small, with elevation differences in large project zones typically below 10 meters. No major faults, sinkholes, or collapses have been found, and no adverse geological phenomena affect site stability.

External Relations

The park has been successfully approved as an Indonesian National Strategic Project, receiving strong policy support. This has accelerated the approval of enterprise permits. Through CSR activities, the park has also earned a positive reputation locally.

Power Supply

Phase I of the power plant, with 3×250MW coal-fired generators, is already connected to the grid. New coal-fired units are under planning. A 2×16MW waste heat power station is under construction alongside 12 pyrometallurgy production lines. The park also partners with PLN (Indonesia State Power), major Chinese SOEs, and others to plan solar and hydropower projects, ensuring stable power for enterprises in the park.

Resource Advantages

The park collaborates with local nickel mines that have abundant reserves, sufficient to meet the raw material demands of both wet and dry smelting processes.
Rich limestone resources, conveniently located nearby, provide necessary materials for smelting and cement production.
Indonesia has a large, young workforce.
With rapid economic growth that exceeds the global average, and as a member of ASEAN Free Trade Area, it serves as a gateway to the broader Southeast Asian market.

One-Stop Service

The park offers logistics, large-scale warehousing, import/export customs clearance, communication, safety systems, security, and hotel/catering services.
It also provides enterprise registration, project filing, environmental impact assessments, immigration/visa services, and public/external relations support.
